Local Knowledge
Bend’s Trusted Local Window Cleaners, Serving All of Central Oregon
We live and work here in the high desert. As a local Window Cleaning Bend crew — window washing, if that is what you call it — we know what Central Oregon does to glass, from spring pine pollen to summer dust off the trails near the Deschutes River, to the white mineral spots that lawn sprinklers leave behind. That local knowledge shows up in cleaner glass that stays clear longer.
Clean windows also mean a clear view of the Cascades and Mt. Bachelor that drew many of us here in the first place.
We serve every part of Bend and the towns around it for both window cleaning and window washing, including Redmond, Sisters, Sunriver, Tumalo and Terrebonne.
Is It Worth Paying Someone?
WORTH HIRING OUT
A second storey, sunrooms or skylights. White mineral spots. Screens and tracks done properly. Or if a ladder is not something you should be on.
DO IT YOURSELF
A single storey home with reachable glass, a decent squeegee and a free Saturday. You will save a few hundred dollars.
We would rather lose a job than sell you one you do not need.
Bend is harder on glass than almost anywhere else in Oregon.
Juniper pollen starts shedding in late February. Wildfire smoke leaves an oily film in late summer. And sprinkler water carrying irrigation or well minerals dries onto south facing glass all season long. Most homes here need cleaning twice a year, and knowing why is half of getting it right.
What a Full Clean Includes, and What it Costs
Most Bend homes run $180 to $480 for a full interior and exterior clean, depending on window count and height. Hard water restoration, skylights needing roof access, and anything requiring a lift are the only extras, and all of them are itemised on your quote before you book. Text photos of each side of your house and we send a firm number, usually the same day.
Why Sightline
Why Homeowners Across Bend Choose Us
Six reasons, all of them checkable. No slogans, no stock phrases about attention to detail, just what a Window Cleaning Bend homeowner actually needs to know.
01
Licensed, Insured & Background Checked
We carry liability insurance and can send the certificate before we start. Every person on the crew passes a background check before entering your home.
02
Prices Published Before You Call
Our rates are on this site. You can compare us to anyone else without booking two site visits and losing two mornings.
03
Screens, Tracks and Sills Included
Not an upgrade line on the invoice. Screens come out and get washed on both sides, and tracks are vacuumed before they are wiped.
04
Nobody Walks Your Roof
Water fed poles reach around 40 feet from the ground. Safer for our crew, and it keeps foot traffic off the shingles you paid a roofer to install.
05
7 Day Rain Guarantee
If rain dirties your exterior glass within seven days of a clean, call us and we come back for a free touch up.
06
We Tell You What We Cannot Fix
Etched glass, failed seals, torn screens and sagging gutters get reported, not sold to you. We would rather lose a job than take money for a result that is not possible.
The Team
Meet the Team Behind the Work
Every job is done by our own team. We do not subcontract, so the person at your door works for Sightline, has passed a background check and carries ID.

HEIGHT AND SAFETY
Carbon fibre poles conduct electricity, so we check every service line before extending near a roof, and we assess ladder footing before anyone climbs.
NEVER SUBCONTRACTED
The same local crew on every visit. You are not handed to whoever happened to be available that morning.
FULLY INSURED
Certificate of insurance available on request, before the first visit. Ask any company for it, not just us.
How We Compare to Other Local Companies
We are not being modest here. Bend homeowners deserve to see the real differences, so here is what we found reviewing every established window cleaning website in this market.

What Makes Us Different
- Prices published before you call so you can compare us without booking a site visit.
- Screens, tracks and sills in every full service, never an upgrade line on the invoice.
- Nobody walks your roof. Water fed poles reach around 40 feet, which protects our crew and your shingles.
- We corrected the water myth. The City of Bend reports 0.99 to 1.46 grains per gallon, soft to slightly hard. The spotting comes from irrigation and wells.
- Patch tested before we quote restoration, so you find out whether the stain lifts before you pay.
- We tell you what we cannot fix. Etched glass, failed seals, damaged screens and sagging gutters all get reported, not sold to you.
- Written scope and a dry check before we leave, because wet glass hides flaws.
Bottom line: most companies here sell you a clean. We would rather tell you when you do not need one.

What We Clean
Services We Offer
Are screens and tracks included, or extra?
Included, with every full interior and exterior service, at no extra charge. Screens come out and get washed on both sides, and tracks are vacuumed before they are wiped. Exterior only work covers the glass, since screens and interior tracks cannot be reached from outside. Ask any company you are comparing us to, because plenty charge separately.
Local Conditions
Why Bend Windows Get Dirty Faster Than Most
This is the part other companies offering Window Cleaning in Bend get wrong, so let us set the record straight.
What you are told
Bend has mineral rich water that stains your glass.
Several local window cleaning companies say this on their websites. It is the standard explanation for the white spots people see, and it is repeated often enough that most homeowners believe it.
What the City reports
0.99 to 1.46 grains per gallon. Soft to slightly hard.
That is the City of Bend’s own published figure, classified soft to slightly hard under U.S. Department of the Interior and Water Quality Association standards. If you are on city water, your tap is not the culprit.
So where do the white spots come from? Two places. Many Bend yards run on untreated irrigation or canal water rather than city tap, and that water carries mineral and fine sediment. And homes past the city limits in Deschutes River Woods, Tumalo and Terrebonne draw from private wells with far more dissolved mineral than city water. A sprinkler head hitting the bottom third of a window every morning, baking dry in high desert sun, builds deposits fast. That is why one Bend street has spotted glass and the next street over does not.
What Lands on Your Glass, and When
Four things drive the calendar here, and none of them arrive when people expect.
Late Feb – Apr
Juniper Pollen
Juniper sheds before anyone thinks about spring, then birch, cottonwood and maple follow to a mid April peak. The yellow film on south glass in March is juniper, and it bonds once it gets damp and dries.
May – Jul
Sprinklers & Dust
Irrigation season runs hard through the hottest months. Water lands on glass and evaporates in minutes, concentrating whatever mineral it was carrying instead of running off.
Aug – Sep
Wildfire Smoke
Smoke settles a fine oily film on exterior glass. It is not dust. Wipe it dry and it smears, which is why the phone rings across this town every September.
Nov – Feb
Freeze & Grit
Exterior work pauses below freezing. Winter grit and meltwater sit in tracks and sills, then run down the glass on the first warm day.
The 30 Second Test: Will It Come Off?
Wet the cloudy area with plain water and look at it closely while it is still wet.
Comes off
The haze changes, softens or partly disappears
The mineral is sitting on top of the glass. We can remove it with restoration pads and fine steel wool.
Cannot be cleaned
It looks exactly the same wet as dry
The mineral has etched into the surface. No cleaning product reverses that, and we will tell you so rather than charge you for a wash that cannot work.
Time decides which one you get. A spot that wipes off after a month can be permanent by month six.
Results
Before & After Window Cleaning in Bend — Real Results
Hard water spotting, street grit and packed tracks are the three things we deal with most in Bend. Here is what each one looks like before and after.

Screens and tracks
Needles and grit pack into the channel. We vacuum first, then wipe, because grit plus water makes mud. Included in every full service.

Storefront grit
Road dust and handprints build daily on Bend shopfronts. Most run a route every two weeks, cleaned before opening.

Hard water spotting
Sprinkler minerals baked onto south facing glass. Surface deposits lift with restoration pads. We patch test first so you know before you pay.
How a Sightline Visit Works
1. Get a Quote
Text photos of each side of your house to (541) 541-4344, or call. Most quotes come back the same day.
2. Two Hour Arrival Window
You get a text when we are on the way. If we are running late, you hear from us before you have to wonder.
3. The Clean
We prep first, moving mats and patio furniture clear of water. Frames come first, then glass, working top to bottom so nothing above drips onto finished work below. Screens come out. Tracks and sills get wiped.
4. Walkthrough and Guarantee
Wet glass can hide a spot. We wait for it to dry, walk the property, and check every pane before we leave. Mats and furniture go back where they were. If it rains within seven days, we come back and touch up for free.
How long does it take?
Two to four hours for most Bend homes. Larger properties take a full day, and you get an estimate with your quote so there are no surprises on the morning.
Why are there water drops when you leave?
Our poles run purified water with the minerals filtered out, so it dries without leaving spots. Ordinary hose water would spot. The glass will be clear once it dries.

Cleaning Schedule
How Often Should You Clean Your Windows in Bend?
Most Bend homes do well with two cleanings a year. One in late spring once pollen has finished, and one in early fall after smoke season closes and before the first freeze. A few situations need a third, which is the schedule most Window Cleaning Bend homes actually follow.
| Your situation | How often | Best timing | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Most Bend homes | 2× a year | April to May, then September to October | After pollen ends, and after smoke season closes |
| Sprinklers hitting the glass | 3× a year | Add a midsummer visit | Irrigation runs hardest through July and August |
| Well or canal water | 3× a year | Add a midsummer visit | Higher mineral content bonds faster in the sun |
| Under pines or juniper | 3× a year | Add a visit after needle drop | Needles and sap fill tracks and skylight edges |
| Storefronts and retail | Every 2 weeks | Early morning, before you open | Handprints and street grit build daily |
| Vacation rentals | Quarterly | Between guest turnovers | Every guest touches the sliders and patio doors |
| After a smoky summer | Add one visit | Late September | Smoke film smears when wiped dry and needs a proper wash |
If you only clean once a year, make it October. That is after the dust, the smoke and the irrigation season have all finished, and before anything freezes into your tracks.

Transparent Pricing
How Pricing Is Determined
Every property is different, so here is exactly what moves your Window Cleaning in Bend number. All of it is itemised on the quote before you book, never discovered afterwards.
01
NUMBER OF WINDOWS
More glass means more labour. We count openings, and we tell you how we counted them.
02
NUMBER OF STOREYS
Upper glass needs pole equipment and more time. Nothing above three storeys, and nobody on your roof.
03
INSIDE AND OUT, OR EXTERIOR ONLY
Interior work needs access and takes longer. Exterior only covers the glass, since screens and interior tracks cannot be reached from outside.
04
SCREENS AND TRACKS
Included in every full service at no extra charge, and they add roughly twenty to forty five minutes.
05
HARD WATER STAINS
Surface deposits lift with restoration pads. Etched glass cannot be cleaned, and we patch test before quoting either way.
06
ACCESS
Steep ground, gravel, landscaping or locked gates can change the approach. Tell us up front and there are no surprises.
