About Sightline Window Cleaning Bend
Window Cleaning Built Around What Central Oregon Actually Does to Glass
Sightline Window Cleaning is a locally owned window cleaning company in Bend, Oregon, serving homes, businesses, vacation rentals, and builders across Central Oregon.
We publish our prices. Screens, tracks, and sills come with every full service. We work from the ground rather than off your roof. And when something cannot be fixed, we tell you before you pay rather than after.
Since 2020, we have cleaned glass across Bend, Redmond, Sisters, Sunriver, Caldera Springs, Black Butte Ranch, Tumalo, Terrebonne, and Eagle Crest.
Our Story
Why We Built a Window Cleaning Company That Publishes Its Prices
We started by calling every window cleaner in Bend and asking what a two storey house would cost.
Not one gave a number. Every answer was a version of the same thing: it depends, we would need to come and look. Which is true up to a point, and also means no homeowner can compare two companies without booking two site visits and losing two mornings. Most people give up and hire whoever answered the phone.
Then we read what those same companies tell customers about the water here. Nearly all of them say Bend’s water is high in minerals and stains glass. The City of Bend’s own published figures say it is soft to slightly hard, between 0.99 and 1.46 grains per gallon.
A whole market repeating something that is not true, and not one price on any of it.
The Local Context
What Makes Bend Different From Anywhere Else We Could Work
Most window cleaning advice is written for places with rain. Central Oregon is not one of them.
Your tap is not the problem. City water here is soft. The mineral on your glass arrives through a sprinkler carrying untreated irrigation or well water. Tumalo Irrigation District alone moves water to 685 patrons across more than 7,400 acres. Outside city limits, Deschutes County holds roughly 16,000 exempt domestic wells, and mineral content varies property to property. That is why one street spots and the next does not.
Pollen arrives in winter. Bend allergist Dr. Adam Williams told the Bend Bulletin that the season starts in late February or early March when juniper sheds, peaking around mid April. Six weeks earlier than anyone expects.
Nothing rinses your glass all summer. Bend gets almost no rain between June and September. In wetter regions rain cleans windows and solar panels for free. Here they go through the highest sun months with nothing washing them.
Then the smoke arrives. Late summer leaves an oily film that smears when wiped dry. It is why the phone rings across this town every September.
And the freeze ends the season. Exterior work stops below freezing, which in Sunriver at 4,170 feet comes considerably earlier than it does in Terrebonne down near the Crooked River.
We wrote a page on each of the nine places we work, because the water, the debris, and the glass are genuinely different in all of them.

Why We’re Different
Why This Market Is Unusual
The water myth. Every competitor repeats it. The City’s own data contradicts it. We published the figures and the sources.
No published pricing. Zero of the seven established companies here show a rate anywhere on their sites.
Screens are the hidden variable. Some include them, some charge separately, one omits them from the list entirely. It is the most common reason two quotes for the same house differ by hundreds of dollars.
Nobody names a person. Not one competitor site carries a named owner with credentials. In a trade where a stranger spends four hours inside your house, that is a strange thing to leave out.
The season is short and everyone books at once. Late September and October, after the smoke clears and before the freeze, is when this entire town remembers its windows.
Where We Work
Where We Work
Bend · View homes to Old Mill storefronts. Sprinkler spotting is the common complaint.
Redmond · Fast growth, new construction, and a mandatory odd and even watering schedule April through October.
Sisters · Western storefronts with divided light glass, plus cabins out toward the forest.
Sunriver · Around 4,200 properties, roughly 2,000 year round residents. Most homes empty most of the year.
Black Butte Ranch · Fairway homes catching course irrigation, and aspen and ponderosa dropping on different schedules.
Tumalo · Wells and irrigation district water together. The heaviest mineral spotting we see.
Terrebonne · Smith Rock rentals and horse properties, with wind driven dust most of the year.
